The Wednesday night songwriters group is a bi-monthly forum to share work in progress and to support each other in creative, performance and career goals.

Why: To spur creativity by providing a deadline and the chance to share work with other songwriters.

When: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month

Where: A home studio in the Glen park neighborhood of SF

Who: People normally join this group after they have taken several cycles of intermediate songwriting classes or equivalent work experience. You should be confident that you can write a structured song and give helpful, specific feedback.

How: The group is run like an intermediate/advanced songwriting workshop. Each week people will bring a new or reworked song with lyric sheets, and receive feedback. The song can be on CD, cassette, or performed live. Members who do not have a new or reworked song to share can come just to listen and get inspired.

The group will evolve to be whatever the members want it to be.  Possibilities include making connections for collaboration, accompanying and supporting each other at performances, and whatever else we cook up. Jeffrey may also offer some exercises he has taught in workshops over the years to unravel beliefs that limit creativity and accomplishment. Other members have their own unique gifts to offer.

Bring: Yourself, your song on CD or cassette or live performance, six copies of your lyrics. Guitars and keyboards are available, if you don't want to carry your own instrument. Feel free to bring juice, wine, beer, or snacks to share.

Space is limited to about 6 people at a time. If you are interested in joining, please contact jeffrey@jeffreypeasemusic.com.
